Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions Do you teach beginners?
Yes I do! A vast majority of my students are first time pianists, you are in safe hands.
Where are you located?
I travel to most of my students houses, so you can learn in a familiar environment which many of my students prefer. However, I also have a private teaching space where I teach a good portion f my lessons too. This is located Willesden Green
Do you teach children?
Yes! I teach students to ply the piano as you as 5 years old. Music is wonderful for developing young peoples restiveness and getting them excited about expressing themselves. I find that lessons of half an hour each week is the best way of introducing your children to the piano. Parents are more than welcome to sit in the lessons too.
Is it okay to learn piano without taking exams?
Of course! There is no pressure to take any exams what so ever. As much as exams can be a motivational tool to achieve higher levels of musical ability, music can also be therapeutic and purely enjoyable. My students have varying goals and reasons for wanting to learn the piano.
What songs will we learn?
My lessons are structured around songs that you want to learn, no matter what styles of music you are passionate about. I teach classical disciplines all the way to rock and pop genres. One of the most rewarding parts of learning an instrument is to be able to play the songs you love!
Do I need anything before I start my first lesson?
No not at all, I have all the equipment we will need to start our lessons. Do we need a piano to learn?
If you are a beginner pianist, then a keyboard will be fine to start with. Once you have advanced to a certain level I will advise you to practice on a piano. If you don’t have a piano at home there are many affordable places to release on a piano locally, all of which I can advise with when the time comes.
